00:01:22: Yes it's very busy.
00:01:24: we're flying every day and every single flight But yeah, so how about you?
00:01:32: How are you dealing with the heat?
00:01:34: Europe is in a grip of massive heat wave right now.
00:01:38: It's an endless summer here in Austria and we're recording this in August.
00:01:46: And by the way, my name is Jürgen Reis and I coach ballets in mental performance with a special focus on assessment simulator sessions.
00:01:56: And training environments.
00:01:58: Speaking of environment you're right Stefan.
00:02:01: it's an endless summer dealing with the heat yeah?
00:02:05: There are nice rivers infront of our house even though water gets less every day.
00:02:13: certainly we have local swimming pools.
00:02:16: So, it's the water is the antidote to heat for me.
00:02:21: Swimming became a little bit my main sport in the moment.
00:02:26: I love it and also from the mental side I think swimming is body and mind so-to say recovering and refreshing sports.
00:02:39: Very good, very good.
00:02:41: Well yeah I live near the seaside but uh the Mediterranean has warmed up so much.
00:02:47: The water temperature i think is twenty eight-twenty nine So... Yeah..I told you before!
00:02:53: I went into the sea the other day for a swim and it wasn't actually all that pleasant.
00:02:59: and I
00:03:04: hope also your computer is in a cool place, because certainly for the audio podcast this isn't very demanding on hardware but even so we are just an audio podcast thanks to YouTube.

00:04:05: What was the flight for this episode Stefan?
00:04:09: Yeah, I keep the computer in an air conditioned room.
00:04:13: So today's flight we're going a little bit back in time.
00:04:17: We are gonna be flying with KLM on the nice Fokker f- one hundred and will be flying from Amsterdam to Bologna in Italy.
00:04:29: I've actually flown to Bollonia once, it's quite a challenging approach.
00:04:34: the runway is not the longest and the Isle-S is quite steeper than normal.
00:04:40: so i thought that would give you the go was quite challenging especially since this was my first flight ever with the Focca one hundred but its really cool aircraft ,i enjoyed myself.
00:04:51: hopefully people who will watch the video like what they see
00:04:56: Sounds like a challenging approach with an interesting plane.
00:05:01: I'm looking forward to it.
00:05:03: really
00:05:04: speaking of Interesting planes, i think also was certainly the highlight Of this episode.
00:05:13: today is an interesting guest.
00:05:16: Yes, so as always we have a guest.
00:05:19: well I say it's always quite often.
00:05:20: We have guests and Jung was kind enough to conduct the interview So i listened to it afterwards.
00:05:28: just for those of you who've never tuned in your tuning-in For The First Time We will now listen To an interview And then Jürgen & I Will Be Back With Some More Thoughts.
00:05:40: Since You Spoke Why Don't You Introduce Our Guest Today?
00:05:45: Yeah, today we are heading to Portland main Stefan.
00:05:48: To meet Anderson Indorf.
00:05:51: at just twenty years old He has already built an impressive foundation for a professional flying career and in this episode Anderson shares his journey from discovering aviation to earning His commercial pilot license along with the experiences and lessons that have shaped him along the way.
00:06:14: Yes, it was a very cool interview.
00:06:17: All I can say is he seems like a young guy who knows exactly what you want and how to get there.
00:06:24: He's doing everything right as we will hear in the interview... ...he has already taken all of his steps.
00:06:31: You should be taking yourself for future Korean aviation And i also think that he has an exact right attitude.
00:06:43: Stefan, I think our listeners especially aspiring ballads will really enjoy this conversation because I mean Anderson is just yeah if we discussed a little bit in the private conversation before we went live on tape.
00:06:57: I think he's really a masterpiece of go for it!
00:07:02: He was just a go-getter
00:07:06: Yeah, very dedicated to the cause.
00:07:08: You know you will hear he's done a lot of stuff and yeah I like i said from my point-of view in the airline industry have been in it for a very long time.
00:07:21: I've flown with alot of airline pilots all over the world And whenever you hear about the background, I mean we've had a lot of them here on the podcast as well.
00:07:31: He fits into that role perfectly with his experience and things he's doing right now.
00:07:37: how is approaching to whole industry?
00:07:39: We will talk more after this interview but yeah i really enjoyed listening it.
00:07:45: very well done Jürgen.
00:07:47: Very nice interview.
00:07:50: Shall we jump in or anything else?
00:07:54: No, I think we will cover some internal so to say a podcast topic.
00:08:01: So where do connect us and where you can be?
00:08:03: maybe also?
00:08:04: Connect us to being or get in touch with us.
00:08:08: We features on our aviation quest podcast after the show.
00:08:12: but your right.
00:08:13: I think this is same words like You always mention are open your YouTube videos.
00:08:19: I'd save without further ado.
00:08:21: Let's go for it.
00:08:23: Yes, without further ado here's the interview.
00:08:26: Enjoy and we will hear you back once everything is done!
00:08:31: Okay see you on the other side.
00:08:37: Well Andersen welcome to aviation quest to sea.
00:08:40: it's great to have you with us today.
00:08:42: Hello thank you for joining us
00:08:44: Yeah Thank You For Having Me
00:08:47: Yeah, together started.
00:08:48: maybe let's start with now is right.
00:08:51: Now as record this episode in the second half of July.
00:08:55: twenty-twenty six What's a typically weak look like for you these days?
00:09:02: So Right now I am working on my flight instructor rating to allow me to teach other students how to fly And so what that means Is practicing flying from the right side of the plane instead of the left seat which has been doing most of the time.
00:09:17: I am still in college, so i'm taking a summer class as well.
00:09:20: that doesn't have to do with aviation but just little tidbit about myself.
00:09:25: okay yeah you told me before the interview your twenty years old and when did aviation first become your passion?
00:09:34: So Aviation has always kind been my passion.
00:09:38: My family lives up in the northern part And seaplanes are very big planes with floats on them.
00:09:49: It's really a big way of transportation.
00:09:51: how to get around.
00:09:53: There isn't many roads two different places.
00:09:55: So people are taking these seaplains, you know from from lake-to-lake from pond upon to get Around.
00:10:02: and I went on a seaplane ride With my grandfather when I was maybe fifteen or so And I'd always been interested in aviation, but when i took that ride with him.
00:10:11: I knew That I loved it and I knew that It's what I wanted to do as a career.
00:10:15: Okay so right then When you made the seaplane ride with your grandpa?
00:10:20: You already decided you want to pursue this Flying this flying patient professionally.
00:10:27: Yeah, it was kind of you know at The time my life where I was starting To look At colleges and decide What am gonna Do after high school.
00:10:35: And I never had, I hadn't really decided yet.
00:10:38: I wasn't sure yet and like i said ,I took that flight and was like this is what can get paid to do.
00:10:43: are you serious?
00:10:44: I'm gonna do it right!
00:10:46: That's kind of the joy of aviation.
00:10:49: so happy I chose that path.
00:10:53: You're working towards your CFI but already earned your CPL.
00:10:58: Tell us about your journey through your commercial pilot license Anderson.
00:11:02: Yeah, so my journey is actually a little bit different.
00:11:06: So I grew up in the United States In Maine which is about an hour and a half north of Boston And I was doing my flight training and I Had a lot of delays with weather.
00:11:21: The weather isn't very good here especially on winter time A lot snow, you know overcast skies stuff like that.
00:11:30: So I had about fifteen hours or so, and just soloed for my first time.
00:11:36: And i actually made the choice to move to Colorado.
00:11:41: That's a state in United States.
00:11:44: They have really good weather there.
00:11:45: It is very sunny Clear skies Not alot of wind.
00:11:49: It has high elevation.
00:11:52: The field elevation was about five thousand six hundred feet Just at base Very high up.
00:12:00: But I moved out there, and started attending a flight school.
00:12:04: And got all my licenses done up through the commercial.
00:12:07: And really glad that did it because like i said had good weather... ...and was able to fly more often.
00:12:17: Colorado is certainly one of the flight school states again or flight training state in U.S.. Maybe they were particular flights which stayed in your memory most.
00:12:31: Which training flight maybe stayed in your memory the most?
00:12:35: Oh, that's a good question.
00:12:36: Um, The training flight this stuck with me the most.
00:12:40: I would say I did my night cross country and when I became up When i was becoming a private pilot And I flew from northern Colorado down to southern colorado It was I just remember it because you're flying Just just east of the mountains and these mountains are very tall.
00:13:01: I mean up to fourteen thousand feet, just Very tall.
00:13:04: And so your not You know?
00:13:05: You have to be careful on a course at night There's less lighting you can't really see them.
00:13:09: So i'd just remember being with my instructor in just Not feeling nervous but kind of feeling reminded Of the dangers out there and always kind of Remember that first night.
00:13:19: cross-country flight.
00:13:26: The biggest challenge during your flight training?
00:13:29: Biggest challenge during my flight training.
00:13:31: I think, you know a lot of people might feel this it's just the money aspect right.
00:13:35: i mean flying.
00:13:36: uh generally the asian can be so expensive.
00:13:39: um
00:13:40: and You want to fly as much as possible not only because you wanna complete these objectives but Uh...you also love it Right..You wanna out there flying everyday But sometimes, you know that's not attainable due to the price.
00:13:54: So I would say that was the biggest challenge.
00:13:57: Besides the money aspect which flying skill maybe a particular skill took you the longest master?
00:14:05: so when i did my commercial We have to do what is called lazy eights and those were so hard for me For whatever reason.
00:14:15: it seems some people master them And Some People Do Them With Ease.
00:14:19: but for Me It Took.
00:14:20: Me took me a couple hours up in the plane to get those down.
00:14:23: But once I did, i did it so that was good.
00:14:25: I've heard A lot of people seem to struggle with this?
00:14:31: It's how Did you How do they get over it?
00:14:33: or did your memory visualized at all?
00:14:36: what Was Your solution?
00:14:38: yeah So I did a lot Of chair flying so I would just literally sit At my house close My eyes
00:14:43: visualizing
00:14:44: Yeah pretend That Im In The Plane right and although it sounds silly You know its very helpful.
00:14:50: Just Kind of Pretend that you're flying the maneuver, your going through it.
00:14:55: You are doing steps to do this and really helps muscle memory.
00:14:58: so when actually in plane then apply again.
00:15:03: I also watched a lot of YouTube videos on Don't?
00:15:08: I don't remember the names of any of the youtubers who I watched but some Some flight instructors on YouTube that were showing instruction on it and not really helped too because That's free right?
00:15:18: You're not paying for an instructor.
00:15:19: Not paying for the plane And just watching those really help me.
00:15:23: Yeah, all I can say as a mental coach or EVA to fall also especially focusing on pilot.
00:15:31: If ever somebody tells you visualization is silly then I don't know.
00:15:37: Don't listen to this advice please.
00:15:41: Absolutely,
00:15:43: yeah it doesn't make any sense for me but you just picked up the topic of instructors.
00:15:51: was there maybe anything your instructor thought you beyond flying itself?
00:15:57: That's a great question.
00:15:58: um i guess things that would apply my everyday life.
00:16:04: right is Always be double-checking everything, right?
00:16:07: Be very thorough with things.
00:16:10: I think we learn with flying that a mistake can be deadly even if it's just simple mistakes and not to say its as dramatic in everyday life.
00:16:21: but being very thorough making sure you're dotting your eyes or crossing the t's An important lesson also.
00:16:31: aviation is a super small world, right?
00:16:33: You don't want to burn any bridges with anybody.
00:16:35: you Don't wanna become enemies of anybody if you can avoid it.
00:16:38: Right everybody seems To know everybody in aviation and so It's just a good life lesson, right?
00:16:43: you just want to be kind to Everybody.
00:16:45: uh...you want to Be friends With everybody If you Can.
00:16:49: So be A Good Person.
00:16:51: Don't Burn Bridges.
00:16:53: Yeah Exactly like I said i mean i think that applies to your everyday Life as well
00:16:58: Certainly.
00:16:59: And I mean, you were really... You are a pilot but aviation is all over your LinkedIn profile so you worked as a ramp agent.
00:17:11: What did that experience teach?
00:17:13: It was also an interesting kind of view into aviation from another perspective.
00:17:23: Yeah, I mean.
00:17:24: I am super glad I did that now.
00:17:26: Well, I tell you that it was fun when it was You know ninety five degrees outside cold and snowing or raining?
00:17:33: No But um II just like you a love aviation being around the aircraft all day.
00:17:40: It was really nice And i got to kind of learn about The procedures of airlines from the ground level right literally?
00:17:47: Um and I do believe That will help me eventually one Day When I go to fly for a commercial carrier like that.
00:17:55: I learned, Like i said about the operation how they do what?
00:17:59: What They Do why they do everything right and I was able to actually talk To A lot of pilots during That which is really interesting.
00:18:05: you know they'd be doing their pre-flight checks out there And I'd Be standing Out There and I'd strike up a conversation with them and get some advice and and that Was Really helpful.
00:18:14: but yeah I'm super glad I did that.
00:18:17: Like I said, it wasn't always the best out there and conditions but if anybody is listening who's thinking about starting their pilot career.
00:18:27: I would absolutely recommend that.
00:18:29: It was a great job.
00:18:31: You get travel benefits...I got to go Europe couple of times and didn't pay dime except for taxes And you can see what round aviation gets.
00:18:39: you meet people
00:18:45: But even if you don't like winters, um... You're even worked as a de-icing technician.
00:18:52: Yes!
00:18:53: I mean, uh... There's been controversy here.
00:18:56: What did you learn about winter operations?
00:18:59: Especially Winter Operations from the ground perspective when your were a de icing technician?
00:19:04: because it sounds little bit interesting that person who doesn't like winter is getting into the de icing role.
00:19:14: Well, I'll tell you we were a little bit spoiled.
00:19:18: I worked for a subsidiary of United Airlines in Denver which is their biggest hub or one other base either that are Chicago and they... We were pretty spoiled.
00:19:29: In these little heated cabs so always never actually outside when it was snowing i was comfortable.
00:19:35: I had the heat going on me.
00:19:38: So don't feel too bad.
00:19:40: but I really enjoyed that job because, again it's another aspect of aviation that i was learning.
00:19:46: right.
00:19:46: and you know one day if im a commercial pilot ill have that perspective.
00:19:50: Ill understand whats going on better than maybe some other pilots who haven't done.
00:19:57: You could get very busy right there in Denver.
00:19:59: I mean you have departures go on every few minutes.
00:20:01: Every minute from United Right, so if it was snowing we were out There and just all day Just getting ready to spray those planes coming in.
00:20:08: So again, just learning that other aspect of aviation Was not only interesting but i think will help me down the line as well?
00:20:17: So you would say working underground changed a way.
00:20:20: Do you think is a bullet now?
00:20:23: Yeah yeah, I think so alright.
00:20:24: And I think It'll especially do it when I'm an airline pilot, right?
00:20:29: Because they will have respect for these people.
00:20:31: More respect or not that pilots disrespect them but just understanding the job.
00:20:37: Understanding what these people are doing and kind of seeing how everything works.
00:20:42: so maybe you know all pilots might understand because they've never been in this position.
00:20:49: And recently your advanced ground instructor certificate Yeah, congratulations afterwards to that.
00:20:56: And why was it important you?
00:21:00: So that was important for me because I have seen a couple of pilot Facebook groups in the area and just with lots of pilots who want to become pilots so on and so forth... When i did my private pilot training what Did something online similar to
00:21:24: how we're
00:21:24: recording right now, but it was over zoom and I met with somebody And we did kind of a mock oral check ride.
00:21:31: Right?
00:21:31: So I met an even though as a flight instructor They were asking me questions As if they were examining at Checkride To Me in.
00:21:39: that really helped me.
00:21:40: That Was One Of The Best Tools i had.
00:21:42: um...and
00:21:43: so I got this ground rating.
00:21:44: because What That Allows me to do is I can Teach People on the Ground I Can Give Them Instruction On the Ground give them instruction in the area.
00:21:52: So long story short, what I've been doing is...I have a couple people who I meet with over Zoom and they gave me these mock checkrides.
00:22:01: so i go completely by ACS which in America that's we use for our flight standards for an examination whether it's weight and balance, or about weather.
00:22:17: Or whatever may be right?
00:22:19: And I go through that ask them questions on a usually try to make harder than the check ride will actually be.
00:22:25: you know just give them practice knife i think.
00:22:28: but its been successful have had two students who've gone with me both past their private pilot check write in first time.
00:22:34: now of course i can't claim success for that completely but like to think maybe helped out little bit and also nice way makes money on side too.
00:22:44: And it seems you really enjoy mentoring and teaching other pilots.
00:22:48: Yeah, I do!
00:22:49: I come from a long line of teachers in my family... ...and i like to think that maybe the little bit is in me.. ..I love teaching others especially about something I'm so passionate about flying
00:23:03: So could even imagine yourself being a career flight instructor?
00:23:09: You know, it's something that I've certainly thought about But the airlines is just such a big goal of mine.
00:23:15: That don't think i could pass on.
00:23:17: maybe you know in my retirement?
00:23:18: Go back to flight instructing part-time or something like that.
00:23:22: but I really am looking forward To being able to be a flight instructor and teaching people near.
00:23:29: What do we are looking for?
00:23:31: what to build your hours as a flight Instructor?
00:23:33: yes Yes exactly, but again, I'll be enjoying the journey as teaching people
00:23:38: sure Sure.
00:23:40: I guess from all i heard right now, you are really a great flight instructor.
00:23:50: when will your be available as a CFI?
00:23:54: So my check ride is not scheduled yet but it's planning to be in October-ish which is later than I want because there's a DPE or the designated pilot examiner.
00:24:07: There's a big shortage of those in the United States.
00:24:11: And so it's really hard to schedule that check ride, right?
00:24:14: Because I could be you know...I'm just about Check Ride ready You Know In A Month or So and It is July Right But i am not able To do That Until October Unfortunately..So Thats What Im Hoping Towards Right Now As My Goal Is October For That Check Ride.
00:24:29: I Guess You Will Let People Know On Your Linked Improving Page.
00:24:35: Exactly, yeah.
00:24:36: I try to keep that updated as much as possible.
00:24:38: Yeah i've seen you're really a professional there and You are studying business administration Speaking of professionalism in the internet.
00:24:49: Why did you choose that alongside aviation?
00:24:52: Well, part of it I'll be honest with you like.
00:24:55: Like i said long line Of teachers in my family.
00:24:57: so they really wanted me to get.
00:24:59: You know a secondary education which?
00:25:02: I understand but also I think you Know It's.
00:25:04: it's A good thing To have as a backup plan right you know God forbid I cut off My hand when I'm cutting wood or something like that.
00:25:12: Right I can't fly an airplane necessarily But I Can do somebody's taxes right.
00:25:18: So That's a Good Backup Plan to Have Just In Case Anything Happened.
00:25:21: Also, it's a good thing on your resume right?
00:25:23: A lot of major airlines even though they don't require.
00:25:26: They do want to see that bachelor's degree there.
00:25:29: So I think overall It was a good choice for me.
00:25:32: um i always uh lucky enough To be able to get some good scholarships That I am not paying too much out-of pocket For that.
00:25:40: so that's a big help Too because obviously like we talked about.
00:25:42: aviation is expensive and so Is college in the United States.
00:25:45: but those scholarships are going to Help me out with that.
00:25:49: Yeah, and it seems you're building backup plan over back up land because your only You also ran your own business.
00:25:57: What lessons from entrepreneurship still help you today?
00:26:01: I would say the biggest thing in a kind of ties back to the whole aviation thing.
00:26:06: right you want to be Friends with as many people as you can write all about those connections.
00:26:12: If somebody know really liked that job that you did for You know as your business they might refer you to somebody else, right?
00:26:19: It's the same thing in aviation.
00:26:21: if I have a friend who owns Private jet.
00:26:25: Right and he really likes me He might say hey you want come fly this right because he likes me.
00:26:29: And sometimes it's the age-old saying is it's not what you know It's who you don't write.
00:26:35: and I think that ties in whether you're running a business Whether you're pilot whatever.
00:26:40: maybe it's really important Who do you know and who those connections you have with people?
00:26:45: So speaking of private jets business aviation maybe also something that interests you.
00:26:51: Yeah, absolutely It's always kind of an interest in mind.
00:26:55: I to be honest with you i just love all things aviation right.
00:26:58: so yeah Exactly in any rush to get to the airlines.
00:27:04: Like there's so many things that I want to do, That i have on my bucket list like...I wanna Get My Seaplane Rating!
00:27:09: I Want To Fly seaplanes right?
00:27:11: I would love to fly.
00:27:12: you know part one thirty five Part ninety One private jet kind of stuff.. I Would Love To Do Something Like That.
00:27:18: So There'S A Lot Of Different Experiences That I Wanna Have You Know Before I Settle Down With An Airline Career.
00:27:25: Yeah I mean From All What I Heard Right Now You Did Everything Right.
00:27:31: But Was there maybe something you would have done differently if you could do one more time or once over again?
00:27:40: That's a good question.
00:27:41: Something that I would've done differently, um...I think the biggest thing that i would say is well to put it this way The only check ride that ever failed was my instrument Check Ride and.. I went into that Check Ride And honest, looking back at it now I don't think that i was fully prepared.
00:28:06: Even though I failed during the flying portion of it... ...I passed the oral part.. ..I felt like I kind of struggled throughout that oral exam and that really just kinda set the tone for the rest day You know?
00:28:21: Like I said even thought I passed that part.
00:28:24: you got into my own head then I wasn't feeling great about the whole thing, and we went flying.
00:28:29: And it just was not my best flying.
00:28:31: so...I wish that i would have prepared more for that.
00:28:34: That is kind of one that sticks with me and irks a little bit you know?
00:28:39: I wasn´t able to pass out on first try which definitely was stinger.
00:28:45: So think prepare now better than ever before to see if I check right because this seems also really a hard check, right?
00:28:55: All ends to practically side of the things.
00:28:59: Yeah yeah it's pretty much considered the hardest.
00:29:01: I mean here.
00:29:02: besides when you go for...I've
00:29:03: heard about this.
00:29:04: yes!
00:29:06: There are some stories out there where The Oral Exam alone is eight hours
00:29:10: or something
00:29:12: and then You Go And Then You Do The Flight.
00:29:16: So definitely in way.
00:29:20: i am a little bit glad that failed that checkride because now I will never ever go into a check ride underprepared again, right?
00:29:28: From here on out over prepare.
00:29:30: Right so i think that'll help me down the line as well.
00:29:34: So which areas are you currently working on improving?
00:29:38: Um...So..Right Now what Im Working On As Far As My Check Ride Goes Is Im Making Lesson Plans.
00:29:45: Basically Im Going Throughout The ACS Which is Like What We Talked About Earlier and seeing everything that you know a private pilot has to learn about or can be asked about.
00:29:55: And then I go, make a lesson plan so i could teach the student that topic.
00:30:01: Okay yeah speaking of your future we got certainly our building phase but after that also maybe a long-term goal.
00:30:12: is there kind of aircraft?
00:30:14: Maybe your dream air craft!
00:30:17: You would love to fly one day?
00:30:19: Oh my dream aircraft.
00:30:20: That's an amazing question I would say, can i tell you too?
00:30:28: Yeah sure certainly You can also tell as many as your want.
00:30:35: So the Airbus A-II-I is just a beautiful air craft
00:30:45: And
00:30:47: then the Boeing seven eighty-seven as well.
00:30:50: Yeah,
00:30:50: certainly dreamliner.
00:30:53: yeah exactly you know just beautiful planes and I've been fortunate enough to fly a passenger on both of those planes and i think they're amazing.
00:31:04: if i could have my pick in the litter would fly them.
00:31:09: your career goals we covered before airlines or business aviation?
00:31:15: Yeah, yeah absolutely professional flying at some point but you know I'm in no rush to get there and kind of just enjoying the journey and the flying.
00:31:24: Yeah i mean do what end of this interview for last minutes.
00:31:27: maybe You can use these questions also for thank-you somebody But who's influenced or inspired your most in aviation?
00:31:37: So I would go back To where I started with my grandfather.
00:31:41: right now My grandfather is not a pilot But you know, he knew somebody who owned a seaplane and...and He took me up.
00:31:48: And that was just like I said.
00:31:50: That sparked everything!
00:31:52: Um..And then when i moved to Colorado it's about A thirty hour drive from where I lived in Maine To colorado.
00:31:59: so about thirty hours and He drove wow?
00:32:03: He made the drive with Me.
00:32:05: um....He Was supportive right?
00:32:06: He-he Took turns driving.
00:32:08: You Know thats'a long Drive Always checking in on me, asking how the flying is going.
00:32:17: He's always offering his support that kind of stuff and I was lucky enough to take him for a flight And it was one my favorite flights have ever done.
00:32:28: That's not a training
00:32:29: flight.
00:32:29: Yeah he's
00:32:31: taking up and being able After you know what he helped me with and then seeing What I'm able to do now is was really something that i'll always kind of cherish And have so definitely my grandfather.
00:32:43: There's been So many people who've helped Me, but I wouldn't Have enough time To thank in one episode But the first thing That comes to mind as My grandfather.
00:32:51: Great great dance.
00:32:53: yeah there Is just One.
00:32:55: Yeah One real Granddaddy In The Life I Know Absolutely Remains life.
00:33:03: Yeah, I mean if somebody younger is listening now maybe fifteen sixteen.
00:33:08: Maybe even the younger.
00:33:09: What advice would you give someone starting flight training today?
00:33:13: Because i mean certainly as a glider pilot You can depending on where your lift but you can even start earlier.
00:33:20: yeah absolutely I would say that biggest piece of advice Is just kind of remember why you started it right.
00:33:26: It's because uh...you love aviation and some people I've been a victim of this myself as you kind of get caught up in the race You know, you want to get your private as fast as possible and then your instrument Then your commercial than your instructor And then build time to fifteen hundred hours and go straight to an airline As fast as you can right?
00:33:45: I think some people kind of lose that.
00:33:47: wait.
00:33:48: I actually love aviation and i Want to experience This Right.
00:33:51: so what would say?
00:33:52: The biggest thing is just Kind Of Never forget about your love for aviation, go on fun flights.
00:33:57: Take your friends up take your family up do things like that right?
00:34:02: I think That's the biggest thing.
00:34:03: other.
00:34:04: otherwise Studying is free Right you can always be studying.
00:34:08: You can study at any age.
00:34:10: you can enroll in a private pilot ground course On the computer right.
00:34:15: you don't have to be In person to do that and just Always Be studying.
00:34:19: always Have Your head in The books.
00:34:21: i always tell people they say you know Is being A pilot hard.
00:34:25: I say, well to be honest with you learning how to fly and land an airplane is easy.
00:34:31: Most people can do it in ten fifteen hours or so.
00:34:34: the hardest part Is just learning about all everything that goes into right?
00:34:38: The rules the regulations How things work why they were Why things happen the way that they do Right.
00:34:44: So always have your head In the books And be studying even if It's not as fun As the actual flying.
00:34:51: Great advice great answer Anderson And yeah, do it at the end.
00:34:56: Is there anything we haven't talked about that you'd like to share?
00:35:01: I just would like thank for having me on your show today.
00:35:05: It was good talking and meeting you.
00:35:09: Finally how can listeners perhaps also future employers connect with you?
00:35:14: We spoke about LinkedIn but are they other possibilities?
00:35:19: Yeah, so I'm pretty active on LinkedIn.
00:35:23: And like i said...I am sure you'll have my name in here but Anderson Endorf there's only one of me.
00:35:28: My names spelled a little funny So it is not hard to find and anybody can message through there.
00:35:36: All I could say.
00:35:38: your answering quite quickly Normally within twenty four hours.
00:35:45: That awesome.
00:35:45: Well Im glad to hear.
00:35:48: I mean Anderson, thank you again for joining us today.
00:35:52: And as a small personal thank-you i'd like to give your a lifetime voucher for our mental performance coaching session with me.
00:36:00: no obligations at all and just reach out anytime you think i might be able to help you and i wish you certainly all the very best of your aviation career.
00:36:12: Thank You Very Much!
00:36:22: Okay, and that brings us to the end of the interview.
00:36:24: What a lovely young man!
00:36:26: I really enjoyed listening to it again.
00:36:28: so like i said before we've discussed this before you again.
00:36:34: We have had people on occupied different roles within the aviation world.
00:36:41: You remember Josefine, who did all sorts of things ramp agent ticket office dispatch cabin crew and now she's a captain in The Lufthansa Group?
00:36:53: And I do think Doing these things really gives you a good idea of how this industry works, and later on when you do fly airliners it also broadens your horizon.
00:37:07: And then we have better understanding what's going behind the scenes.
00:37:11: so purely from that perspective I think yeah i think he is doing everything right!
00:37:18: You
00:37:22: are an insider here, so to say in the airline industry.
00:37:26: But I think a resume that points out many jobs you held within the industry is certainly also... I mean an airline would love to read this!
00:37:37: Would you agree?
00:37:39: Yeah i think so because they see that you have an understanding of what's involved and not just someone who knows the theory behind it.
00:37:50: You've actually worked in the industry because he pointed this out how you have to be super accurate, very conscious of everything and do check-and-double-check.
00:38:05: these are things that you learn when you start working on them.
00:38:12: if I think it's very valuable, because you understand what is expected from you.
00:38:20: From my understanding if i were an HR person hey somebody who got so a broad experience in all certainly at the end of today its flying the airplane but more and better your off cause.
00:38:37: you were in Kevin crew before.
00:38:39: This certainly was also, I think... I can just say that hypothetically here.
00:38:46: But maybe this for you or your airline effector.
00:38:51: they said okay let's take a closer look at Stefan.
00:38:55: Yeah, I don't know.
00:38:56: Maybe maybe but even on a day-to-day basis... ...I understand the role of the cabin crew really well and it really helped with working together as a team.
00:39:07: And yeah like i said when I fly with captains that used to be ramp agents Of which we have some or not just captains Just pilots You can tell they have a much better understanding of what's going on, about the low cheats and everything.
00:39:23: And also their communication with the ground stuff is usually much better.
00:39:27: so like I said he's doing everything you should be doing and uh...you can tell He enjoys it!
00:39:35: He enjoys his experience, he enjoys the journey..and i think that very important because Like he said in interview You know?
00:39:44: You shouldn't rush from one aim to the next, just get into the cockpit as fast and possible.
00:39:51: Just enjoy your journey because these are all experiences that aren't only valuable for you future career but actually life lessons.
00:40:01: so I really liked what he said about it.
00:40:06: I do think, like I said he's doing everything you should be doing and i really hope that one day He is going to be sitting in either the A-II-II or seven eight seven cockpit.
00:40:18: Yeah interesting if you listen this.
00:40:20: thankyou once again for joining us And sharing your story with our listeners.
00:40:25: We wish you all very best for future aviation career and we are looking forward!
00:40:33: to seeing where your journey takes you.
00:40:36: Yeah, I mean a dreamliner or an Airbus to twenty sounds like ambitious but really realistic goals.
00:40:43: why not?
00:40:44: Absolutely!
00:40:46: Why
00:40:46: not?!
00:40:48: So yeah also from my side big thank-you for taking out the time and talking with us being on the phone again.
