00:02:01: Yes it is so what you said about your profession at the moment mental coaching for people that are in training environment or any kind of other stressful environments like selections because our guest is exactly in that environment and has been there for quite a while now.

00:02:27: As always, Jürgen conducted the interview.

00:02:31: i really enjoyed it.

00:02:32: they brought back so many memories from my time during ATPL training finding first job.

00:02:42: Yeah, great interview as always Jürgen.

00:02:44: I can say that already and why don't you introduce our guests after all?

00:02:50: You spoke to him.

00:02:52: yeah today's guest represents a new generation of aviation professionals whose profession for flying is matched by an impressive level of dedication and professionalism.

00:03:07: joining us from Spain Pablo Padron Sanz has already built a remarkable foundation on his journey toward an airline career.

00:03:16: Yeah, it was really... It's incredible interview and I think for everybody out there looking forward to professional careers or maybe dreaming of it is listen twice right now!

00:03:30: Yes so we've had people write at the beginning of their career that just started training over in training with our people you know, either close to retirement or like some people still flying.

00:03:46: Excuse me in the retirement so he's sort of kind off in the middle I mean is still at the beginning of his aviation career but he's in a different position because he finished this training.

00:03:59: it finishes ATPL and has managed to achieve this first big step And He just got His First job with an airline.

00:04:08: So that kind of position, we've never had on the let's call it a kind of possession in their career.

00:04:15: We've never have done a podcast before and was super interesting to see how he got there because this is really the dream of so many people And How he prepared himself?

00:04:27: Yeah I really enjoyed listening to It.

00:04:30: yeah, I mean a comparison also to you Stefan.

00:04:33: It means he's super young.

00:04:35: everything went straight forward, it happened super quick.

00:04:39: I mean we certainly covered also your story but you had to be a little bit more patient!

00:04:46: Yes absolutely But there are certain things that cannot control Things like an epidemic or war and all of the sudden All those job openings when they started training were gone.

00:05:02: So...I think there is some luck there as well.

00:05:17: so i thought he was really interesting especially because he did not just do the student side of things.

00:05:26: he also did instructing which is a very cool thing to do.

00:05:30: i think it really broadens your horizon and deepens.

00:08:22: or how do you define your mission profile in the way, I still can't tell primarily so to say for dedicated flights and pilots.

00:08:32: yeah it's basically a channel about most adiabas e-three twenty uh... i discuss lots of topics sometimes some technical deep dives.Ido know alot real world pilots are using my channel now but it was mainly aimed at flight simmers.

00:08:51: But I was surprised because i always ask people, do you have any questions?

00:08:55: And I was suprised by the question.

00:08:57: some of the Flight Simmers said that asking me they were really detailed deep questions which goes to show how incredible a flight simming has become in terms of detail and what systems all over sudden can do.

00:09:16: By the way, this is also something Pablo will talk about flight simming.

00:09:21: Yeah, that's a good description.

00:09:23: It was aimed at flight simmers but it has become so detailed and we discussed really small stuff That even I know from emails that i get that Even real world pilots are now using the channel to help them A little bit with their type reading.

00:10:08: Today i am thrilled to welcome commercial pilot and theoretical knowledge instructor Pablo Valdron Sanz.

00:10:17: Pablo Welcome To The Show.

00:10:19: Thank you very much.

00:10:20: You're good, thank you.

00:10:22: Yeah Pablo we are recording this on June the eighth and Maybe just to give us get us started.

00:10:30: What does a typical week because it's coincidentally Monday look like for you right now in your aviation life?

00:10:38: well Currently, Jurgen I've finished very recently my commercial pilot course.

00:10:45: So for the last year i was working giving theory instruction to new pilots during the day and finishing some hours on a simulator in MCC in the afternoon.

00:10:58: but now I'm completely finished with everything.

00:11:02: so these past few months I was successful in a major German airline.

00:11:12: I got the news last month.

00:11:14: So right now, I'm waiting to start the course with them.

00:11:17: so this week for me these last few weeks have been a little bit more relaxed which is something good especially after Last year of being working and flying Which it's absolutely love!

00:11:29: Now i am not doing much.

00:11:31: I am practicing reading some things about the aircraft that will fly even connecting on flight simulator, practicing a little bit and yeah just really looking forward to finally doing what I've always dreamt of doing as a little kid.

00:11:48: So right now my weeks are relaxed but soon I'll be full-on concentrated with the course.

00:11:57: Seems we got perfect time being the forties!

00:11:59: Is this a celebration podcast?

00:12:01: Hey, congratulations!

00:12:04: A big success and a big challenge in front of you.

00:12:07: It would be great future.

00:12:09: wow

00:12:10: thank you very much.

00:12:11: yeah for sure it's like I said it's uh... For me since i was four years old ...I think there are alot people who have the same scenario as me that It's the beautiful thing of aviation is that it's a passion for most people.

00:12:25: And I think when something has a passion, not only do you thrive and manage to complete what you really like but become very good at doing because you love what you're doing.

00:12:37: That's why i always say... and you're even going to get paid for it.

00:12:44: So when you can make a passion like aviation your job, I think that yeah... You've achieved one of the most difficult things in life And i think this makes so much easier

00:12:57: Absolutely!

00:12:58: Yeah looking back at time When were four years old Pablo?

00:13:02: Was there specific moment?

00:13:05: where did your passion for aviation begin?

00:13:09: In my case, it comes from family.

00:13:11: My father is a pilot.

00:13:13: so since I can pretty much remember... ...I've always been surrounded by airplanes and I remember my dad taking me to Paris on the flight once also went to Panama And yeah!

00:13:27: Since i can't remember It's just being huge passion for me.

00:13:30: I remember being six seven years old flying one of first flight simulators crying because I couldn't land the plane properly.

00:13:40: so it's for me, yeah.

00:13:42: It has been a family thing since the beginning.

00:13:46: So it seems you were also.

00:13:48: your first passenger flight came in quite early years huh?

00:13:52: Yes!

00:13:52: Yeah... For sure.. In fact to be honest i don't remember my first passenger flights.

00:13:58: I've always been moving around.

00:14:01: So is aviation your family?

00:14:03: Is he a pilot?

00:14:04: Yes, He's currently a pilot in the Middle East.

00:14:09: I'm Spanish and from Madrid.

00:14:12: He was flying in Spain And then later we moved to the Middle-East.

00:14:18: We lived there for eight years.

00:14:21: Then i came back to Spain To do my pilot training.

00:14:25: But certainly Many people or many kids are so to say bitten by the aviation bug, but not many make it a career.

00:14:34: Or go for it?

00:14:35: When did you decide that aviation should become your ultimate career?

00:14:43: Yes, it's what you say that... I don't know how to put in there.

00:14:49: It is a big sacrifice and i think many people have the passion for it but maybe they are not fit for it or may be too much sometimes.

00:15:02: so its huge economical investment In my case something that always my parents told me was Whatever I want to do, whatever my passion is.

00:15:13: That's what i have to follow it.

00:15:15: and for me since that was already in high school... ...I started looking at different flight schools and everything.

00:15:21: so Since I can pretty much remember of always.. ..i've had very clear that I wanted make a job out of It.

00:15:27: also when you have someone like your family Like my father how his day-to-day is, what it is to be the pilot life so that Daisy's working and Daisy not working.

00:15:39: When you see at first hand... You understand that its'n't as big of a sacrifice like people think in some cases.

00:15:48: but you can see good side or bad sides.

00:15:52: all the birthdays he's missed, the Christmas dinner she's missed which of course are a lot.

00:15:57: but at the end of day when you see it first hand.

00:16:00: You've lifted before and uh...you just already see very realistic.

00:16:04: so for me since high school I was looking at flight schools.

00:16:08: yeah..it was something that i knew what wanted to do every time i got home after school going on a flight simulator or on vatsim in the very beginning.

00:16:23: Yeah, and I mean you also chose a straightforward way to ATPL route which is certainly also it's mentally it's highly demanding.

00:16:32: how was this for you?

00:16:35: To be honest Jürgen this one of things that did surprise me bit when i started course.

00:16:41: Of course there were most things but still didn't know what they work But I think more simple than it was.

00:16:51: And the reality is that suddenly you start an ATPL course with thirteen subjects, and You have a lot of subjects that-that you don't like?

00:16:59: That's normal!

00:17:00: For example for me AeroLo was one of those subjects.

00:17:04: I couldn't really...I think It happens to other people.

00:17:06: I've

00:17:07: heard this before on the podcast somewhere!

00:17:10: Yeah so there are some things that obviously during the atpl course your gonna love and theres others things that you dont.

00:17:18: It was a little bit demanding, especially doing an integrated course where you have to go to ground school for eleven months in a row from Monday-Friday and it is tiring.

00:17:30: And I think what differentiates aviation or this course form the normal degree at university... ...is that there's a lot of theory to study in very short amount of time.

00:17:42: so i think its quite important.

00:17:44: You understand what you're getting into, and I think as I repeat it because its the reality.

00:17:49: Did you learn to enjoy that?

00:17:51: Do try to enjoy even a little things.

00:17:54: in my case like I was saying maybe air low wasn't My favorite subject but go and find What something interesting about air.

00:18:00: low tried To find the passion and try to imagine yourself after you've accomplished and passed all of the subjects when doing the exams.

00:18:09: I think that on your final objective, you really see yourself after completing everything... You imagine yourself sitting in a flight deck.

00:18:21: You sit down to study while enjoying it as well.

00:18:24: So answering this question is demanding because there are many things in small amounts of time but if you learn how enjoy them It becomes a very, very good experience.

00:18:34: and suddenly after three months you start thinking.

00:18:38: And then you realize well how much have I learned in the last three month?

00:18:41: Three months ago...I barely knew anything about aviation!

00:18:45: Now i'm nearly a pro in three months.

00:18:48: so A lot of things but if you learn how to enjoy it's more than doable for sure

00:18:55: Pablo.

00:18:56: besides Hello What were the biggest challenges during training?

00:19:00: and maybe also to have a little bit of give away for young listeners.

00:19:04: now, getting into your shoes.

00:19:07: How did you master them?

00:19:08: or any specific so-to say I make it strategies from your side?

00:19:14: You mean strategies for studying...

00:19:17: During my training phase.

00:19:20: overall I mean there was a couple of subjects that were little bit difficult for me at the beginning.

00:19:27: Error law, for example general navigation as well is one i struggled with.

00:19:32: but in my case what i did was...i practiced a lot of question banks while also i read books.

00:19:40: so this for me it's most efficient way to study.

00:19:43: you read the book understand theory And once you understand the theory, You also have to know how to answer the questions.

00:19:50: So this is for the theory something I did.

00:19:53: but then of course there's other challenges.

00:19:55: The thing about aviation it that its not just sitting down and studying... ...you have to fly an aircraft Flying at first.

00:20:03: When you start flying in flight school, it's like well finally everything starts to make sense.

00:20:08: You see yourself sitting and flying And It is one of the most beautiful parts for training.

00:20:13: For sure if probably not the most Beautiful when you are doing all your VFR.

00:20:18: All this very nice and its simple To learn but then suddenly reach a stage where In in IFR, so maybe for the people that don't quite understand when you start to fly reading your instruments instead of navigating with With your eyes by looking outside this becomes more difficult because the amount Of The workload increases a lot.

00:20:40: So they started to stress you more there You have to be very Very concentrated.

00:20:45: it's very easy to make a mistake and It's also necessary to make a mistake in order for you to learn.

00:20:52: So something that helped me with this is, try and have as I call it... A good reset capability!

00:20:59: What i mean by this?

00:21:00: You made a

00:21:00: mistake?!

00:21:02: Okay, YOU MADE IT!

00:21:03: It already happened, let's try to fix it.

00:21:06: Try to do a reset in your mind, not act as if nothing happened because it's very difficult.

00:21:10: I think everyone when they make a mistake you kind of feel bad about yourself but try to say okay this happened already let's put it aside Let's continue Because i'm still flying and for one mistake.

00:21:26: Of course, depending on the mistake.

00:21:27: But usually no one is going to fail a simulator or anyone's going to feel a flight if you just made them all as small mistakes.

00:21:33: that If you keep messing up after that That's when it gets bad.

00:21:36: So try to have a mentality where?

00:21:39: You make a mistake and you will make them.

00:21:40: No one know what is perfect.

00:21:42: tried to say okay this happened already I have a flight to continue, let's get on with it.

00:21:47: So that is what i call good reset capability and this was very important thing any pilot must have.

00:21:58: And another thing which i struggled as well after i finished.

00:22:01: that Was my MCC part Which for the guys who are getting into aviation or maybe you're gonna start soon The MCC is the multi-crew cooperation course.

00:22:11: It's the last thing you do in your training and basically there, You learn how to fly with someone next to you.

00:22:17: So for your whole flight training?

00:22:18: You've been flying an aircraft on your own With a instructor of course but taught to do everything on your own.

00:22:24: In my case, I came from being four years old five-year-old flight simulator doing everything on my own and suddenly you have a person next to you which is there to help you And they're too divided tasks.

00:22:34: so for me at first in the MCC i was uh little bit greedy.

00:22:38: So you tend to want to do every thing yourself Because you're not used to having someone next to you.

00:22:42: So when suddenly I have Someone Next To Me That's Helping me, this was also a part where i struggled A little bit.

00:22:48: and what?

00:22:48: Did?

00:22:48: is i sat down with my With My MCC partner And we started.

00:22:54: We did Started doing flight simulator but both of Us on the same computer and we learned how to divide The Tasks and that will learn How to make decisions with two people.

00:23:04: And yeah, this for me also was a little bit difficult because of the background I had and a lot of people struggle with it all.

00:23:10: so but um... But yeah i think these were the key points the key difficulties in my training and how I managed to cope around

00:23:17: them.

00:23:19: Pablo!

00:23:20: I'm mainly active as a mental coach focusing on pilots and I just can say from my heart please click back last four minutes Pablo Listen to me two times.

00:23:32: There was so much mental truth in it, you figured that out.

00:23:39: I don't know if your read books or even had a mentor coach besides him but there were the research strategies and i loved

00:23:50: them.

00:23:53: It is something that i realized.

00:23:55: unfortunately no one told directly.

00:23:57: of course I've seen it from my father and this is a huge advantage that i've had.

00:24:03: Someone helping me, being able to tell me when you're struggling especially in the aviation sector how my father comes across with it.

00:24:12: also there's airlines which are very demanding.

00:24:17: There isn't anyone better than my dad or expert who can guide through all of these things.

00:24:23: so... I haven't had any mental coach or training but Well, I've had it from my father which i think he's been for sure an idol and a huge help to me.

00:24:35: My fathers can be really good mentors.

00:24:39: speaking

00:24:39: of the

00:24:39: experience

00:24:42: here!

00:24:43: Pablo seems there was never moment where you seriously doubted yourself?

00:24:50: No, no for sure not.

00:24:53: Well of course when you're still young You have other hobbies and then do consider maybe doing all the things.

00:25:01: But um, but in my case even when suddenly I don't know.

00:25:04: It was eleven years old Suddenly i get obsessed with i dunno imagine Football or formula one?

00:25:11: Uh it is something that you say oh i would love maybe to be a football player for me Even what.

00:25:16: When i Was thinking this For Me it was uh i never i Never doubted it.

00:25:20: it was always The thing That i wanted To chase.

00:25:26: So how did he feel?

00:25:27: Finally, to receive your commercial pilot license.

00:25:31: Must be a great thing!

00:25:33: Yeah for sure.

00:25:34: no it was really important day.

00:25:40: It's like huge relief and I finally made after all these years All the effort that has been put not only by me but my parents the people around me that have helped get there, it's finally rewarded.

00:25:58: But I also found when i used to think on a day where I would get my commercial pilot license... ...I always thought of this as an opportunity for me to sit back and enjoy the moment.

00:26:12: but something I've noticed about aviation is you're already You're already looking for the next goal.

00:26:20: So I was...I received my pilot license, i was super happy finally made it But My mind Was of course enjoying but at The same time I was thinking okay Next step we have to get an airline interview We Have To Pass An Airlines Selection Process And Now I've Passed Airline Selection process and Finally Wow!

00:26:35: I'm Probably Gonna I'm Going to Begin In An Airline Soon?

00:26:40: Of Course Im Super Happy But I'm Already Thinking About The Type Rating.

00:26:44: Yes, you enjoy the moment and I think it's really important to stop every now-and then.

00:26:49: But something that did surprise me was as soon as i accomplished something... ...I'm already looking for the next step!

00:26:57: And I think thats a little bit of the drug that aviation gives you.

00:27:02: I think its called passion?

00:27:04: I think so too.

00:27:05: yes for sure.. Yes.

00:27:09: And even for me, I'm already flying airplanes and everything... ...I still go on the flight simulator whenever i have time.. ..I enjoy myself as if I was six or seven years old flying the aircraft from Flight Simulator!

00:27:25: The beauty of this is that it's a passion which never goes away!

00:27:30: Pablo here in my other screen is your very professional by the way LinkedIn profile And it says what I already pointed out in the first seconds of this main part that you are also a theoretical knowledge instructor.

00:27:44: Yes, how did that opportunity come about?

00:27:48: In my case...in my flight school which was studied in Spain and the south of Spain ...I was finished with my theory um and i still had some few flight hours to do.

00:28:01: and the school, well I wanted to do something because i was flying two three times a week but for the rest of and teaching it is something which I think i can also enjoy, And that's going to give me a really good ability To be able communicate.

00:28:24: It will be a good step forward in my career.

00:28:27: So I went to the head of theory instruction at my flight school Asked him if he had any vacancies.

00:28:35: He said absolutely!

00:28:37: A month after that I started giving ATPL Theory classes Two classes for around twenty or thirty students during the flight school.

00:28:46: and it shocked me you again because I realized that, um...I love teaching even more than anything else.

00:28:54: It's well of course not more than flying but-but its something i discovered or didn't know.

00:28:58: That uh..that I absolutely loved Because once again this is a key to everything when your have passion and sharing with everyone It's even more beautiful than when you're keeping it for yourself.

00:29:11: So being able to explain new students basic things, teaching them why a plane flies which is something that a lot of people... When they enter fly school its not really something clear in their minds.

00:29:24: and when you explain into them and see your faces going like ah now I understand!

00:29:29: Yeah i mean.. Its'a really really beautiful thing.

00:29:32: when sharing the passion with everyone else

00:29:35: Has teaching maybe also made you a better pilot?

00:29:38: You know, by solidifying the list of everything and knowledge even more.

00:29:43: Yes for sure!

00:29:43: In fact I always say this that i learned more from teaching than when I was in class at the beginning my course.

00:29:54: And I think you learn as well because it's your responsibility to leave the class at the end of the day, making sure that they learned everything.

00:30:07: When that's your responsibility I think when you're preparing in a class... You tend to look at everything.

00:30:13: so what i do is.. What questions can they ask me?

00:30:19: How difficult could it be for them to make me?

00:30:21: You have to be prepared!

00:30:22: So whatever they asked....you are able to answer.

00:30:26: and of course A LOT OF THINGS happens in every class I give.

00:30:30: sometimes we don't know the answer and it's something completely normal.

00:30:34: And I always tell this also to my students that, It's okay in aviation not know the answer is impossible to know everything.

00:30:41: but what very important.

00:30:43: at least you're able where look for an answer.

00:30:46: so when a student asks difficult question which happens alot of times Look guys, I'm not sure of the answer.

00:30:55: In the next break i'll have a look at it and explain to you tomorrow how come more informed about this.

00:31:01: And also that's one key in aviation The ability to understand that you don't know anything, but at least your able find the information and always have curiosity.

00:31:20: I think this is also a very important thing for people getting into aviation.

00:31:24: when they explain something take it for granted and say, okay that's why a plane flies.

00:31:29: No no try to really get in trying to understand but if this is the reason why they're playing flies then how can air do?

00:31:35: or dynamic pressure just start asking yourself questions?

00:31:40: And I think when you have curiosity which for me is another keyword You tend become much greater pilot more informed about what your learning.

00:31:51: Yeah, but it sounds really we have something in common here.

00:31:54: I mean as a one-to-one coach i'm mainly yeah...I want to teach you at the moment But I know what?

00:32:00: I love overpreparing!

00:32:02: I'd like to be overprepared and ready for almost everything and certainly The end of today always has right to say okay.. I give your follow up coaching or do some research here Or ask somebody on my network.

00:32:17: To be overprepared is always a go to it feels great.

00:32:21: Yes, for sure.

00:32:22: and

00:32:23: also the trick that I used a lot as well this you teach to make sure they understand everything what your saying.

00:32:31: but don't teach one hundred percent of what u know because if you teach them one hundred You're not gonna know the answer to.

00:32:40: so of course make sure that they understand everything But be at ninety percent.

00:33:20: think the most important thing, and it's been a recording today is to is to learn, to enjoy the moment.

00:33:28: So I know this is very vague and okay someone tells me this but that's not gonna help me learn how to fly or that's no going to help me pass my PPL subject.

00:33:37: so whatever... But honestly try to feel the passion.

00:33:43: try to really enjoy it because like i said when you're enjoying you learn everything better.

00:33:49: Studying doesn't feel like a torture, it feels... also maybe not an enjoyment but it feels like a necessary thing for you.

00:33:56: so yeah if you're starting now and learning how to fly in aircraft get on YouTube or social media.

00:34:04: try to find little tricks.

00:34:06: Try to understand everything around.

00:34:09: of course have your life away from aviation.

00:34:11: I think that's very important too not become obsessed with the negative way.

00:34:18: Find a good motive to keep you going.

00:34:20: Try to imagine yourself of all the benefits and all those good things that are gonna have once your finally reached your objective, but especially... Enjoy everything that you're doing because when you enjoy it, When you look at YouTube and if your learning how to fly glider You go on a video And see someone flying It's like wow I want to be there.

00:34:41: So i think That when u have this present in U It becomes so much easier.

00:34:48: My best advice is To do what you really Like if you think that maybe you're not going to enjoy it so much.

00:34:54: then change and do whatever thing.

00:34:56: You can enjoy.

00:34:57: some people want to fly aircraft in the army, others may be want to be firefighters with an aircraft.

00:35:03: other ones wants to fly in commercial.

00:35:05: find Whatever type of aviation suits because there is a thousand types affiliations And I think finding one that suits use the one That's gonna make you happier but makes your best pilot.

00:35:17: Such brilliant answers.

00:35:18: I love this interview!

00:35:22: Looking back, imagine that you could turn back the wheel of time.

00:35:28: What would you do differently during your own training in a perfect world when you can really go switchback?

00:35:35: When were there?

00:35:36: no... It's

00:35:43: a. there is many things that I think i would change, but I think primarily one of the things That um that I did and I think it.

00:35:53: Um, I'm not uh proud Of it.

00:35:55: It's not something really bad But you have to keep in mind that for me?

00:36:00: I will.

00:36:00: it's something that I've always wanted To do.

00:36:02: so I was I spent fifteen years In high school Learning subjects that For Me were very annoying because I already knew that I wanted to be A pilot And I wasn't There yet.

00:36:12: So I kept all of the things I knew, i kept them to myself.

00:36:16: So I had kind of like everything...I had it inside me and I couldn't tell anyone about other things that I knew in aviation.

00:36:22: so what happened was as soon as I reached flight school..i was uh eighteen years old!

00:36:26: And then every class....I wanted to be the one who answers a

00:36:29: question!!

00:36:30: I want you to be someone who says out loud the correct

00:36:33: answer!!!

00:36:34: And now days its not something that would change Of course every now and then giving the correct answer.

00:36:42: And it's normal for me to act like that, It was normal because I had kept everything inside of me... ...I needed- I needed to get it out.

00:36:49: But yeah if i would go back?

00:36:53: It participates in the classes and everything, but maybe not as much... Not as much I did.

00:36:58: Um..I think it's important to have the knowledge And share with everyone But also try let other people answer or say what you know In a different way.

00:37:10: So i think its very important To remain low on the radar Of course be quite quite good at what you do.

00:37:20: And of course answer all the, all the good questions that they ask but never overdo anything.

00:37:26: I think That's something i would change for sure.

00:37:28: But really this sounds like a really high highest level advice because young passionate and humble This already sounds no more human anymore.

00:37:41: Yeah No-no it is something.

00:37:44: to be honest now when thinking about it and say Pablo why did you?

00:37:48: And then also I think it's normal.

00:37:51: I mean, i was a kid excited about my passion that...I needed to get it all out you know?

00:37:57: But yeah!

00:37:59: I can reflect on it.

00:38:00: and the good thing is that its happened to me and anyone thats gonna start flight school.

00:38:05: now You're like me.

00:38:07: maybe you've had a passion before for aviation since your very young.

00:38:10: Just of course enjoy the moment when you are starting flight school.

00:38:15: show people that you really like it and understand.

00:38:19: But during the classes try to not overdo, answer correct questions of course but learn how to enjoy them with other people because they can be a little bit annoying for others.

00:38:35: so if some are starting there It's normal that it happens to you and is normal, like he will want always be the one who answers all of your questions.

00:38:47: But remember other people are learning too!

00:38:51: You can help them but maybe its a better idea in another time.

00:39:00: Pablo... awesome podcast.

00:40:11: That's me also flying in flight simulators as a kid and now I'm finally getting there.

00:40:18: Being able to share my journey The mistakes i've made the good things that, or the things I think have done correctly.

00:40:26: The mistakes that i will make as well which l would love sharing with you.

00:40:30: if we do this again in a few months...I'll make more mistake to come and for guys who are getting into it being able listen first hand then feel identified on what journey they've had It'd be something great because I can help alot of people.

00:40:51: And then on top of that also... Don't don't feel?

00:40:54: I wanted to also say do not feel a little bit worried if you think that maybe it's taking A Little Bit longer than usual To achieve your objective.

00:41:01: reality is That the market now an aviation.

00:41:04: It's it's complicated, it's Not something easy.

00:41:06: its it's not Easy to find um uh job.

00:41:09: so If You're there Maybe you finish Your pilot license or you've just finished some time ago and you're not finding a Job.

00:41:17: i understand that it can be frustrating especially if it's a dream for you but just keep working because it's eventually going to get there.

00:41:24: So I know that now, really the easiest time... It is not also a difficult time but it isn't easy enough for you find your job.

00:41:33: There are lots of people finishing and its very competitive market.

00:41:37: But don't feel frustrated if they aren't arriving yet Because i've had my moments of frustration where maybe I wasn't quite getting there yet.

00:41:48: It will come.

00:41:48: it will come and any pilot that you talk to in an airline, we'll tell you the same.

00:41:52: It's gonna feel like maybe its not coming.

00:41:54: You're going.

00:41:54: get a little bit frustrated.

00:41:56: Be patient because if you keep working there is gona be day where your gonna achieve your objective.

00:42:01: So I think thats also message i would like send to people who are feeling theyre not quite there yet

00:42:10: Even though we are aiming for a shorter episode, so around thirty minutes.

00:42:14: This is not written in stone and I think you made me as well as many listeners curious.

00:42:20: at least your top story was there.

00:42:23: maybe training flight?

00:42:24: You will never forget that you have learned So much.

00:42:26: or if they're any specific story user thought.

00:42:30: i want to share this In this episode.

00:42:35: There's a lot of listeners or are on their toes in the moment.

00:42:42: Well, there is many and I think like any person that has gone through flight training yeah you have quite a lot stories maybe funny things with traffic control or even some little moments of scare.

00:43:04: One of my first solo flights, I had already done it.

00:43:07: This was second or third.

00:43:09: I had a navigation to sit in Granada which is sitting the south of Spain and i was super happy flying solo enjoying my VFR flight And then suddenly my fuel indication went to zero.

00:43:28: So I went from enjoying everything and suddenly you're like, well okay what do i now?

00:43:33: Of course it was an indication failure but its not something nice to happen.

00:43:38: so I texted my instructor.

00:43:42: they told me to come back And obviously I came back shaking a little bit.

00:43:46: But yeah It's nothing that I managed perfectly.

00:43:50: And that was one of the things I remember happened to me, which maybe...I wouldn't say it's fun or funny but now i look at and its a learning experience.

00:44:01: That for sure is quite interesting!

00:44:06: There are more stories..i think i would have to sit down and think about good ones because right now alot come into my mind.

00:44:13: So for share with you next time , i'll try to do some thinking Because there has been many many funny stories in training.

00:44:20: You know, Pablo you stay in the line after the podcast and we set up a Pablo story episode two.

00:44:27: This is an idea but it sounds that this story so to say To finish this story It's sounds for me That you handled everything professionally And also was even if your were shaking at the ground?

00:44:44: Yes, yeah for sure.

00:44:48: After you land it was a huge relief but I mean its also something that my instructor taught me very well how to handle different situations and from then on I was of course still enjoying my solos like a little kid.

00:45:07: But yeah, you look at the instruments maybe two or three times more per five minutes than before.

00:45:13: that happened which is something that you have to do but it's true.

00:45:17: since then day i was also enjoying everything to make sure that I had no issues.

00:45:28: But yeah, it was a very good learning thing.

00:45:31: My instructor of course is super proud.

00:45:35: He told me he's also calm because you knew there wasn't anything major but i dealt with quite

00:45:45: well.

00:47:47: But it has to be done but few flight students will be enthusiastic about Air Law.

00:48:04: It's a framework you operate on.

00:48:07: You must know rules and laws.

00:48:10: So whether you like it or not, You have to know.

00:48:13: Even later on as a pilot... ...you need be aware of the legal framework that you are operating in is very important!
